Planning a church or school remodeling project can be very exciting and fun! The planning process begins with an idea and is fueled with the passion and interest from the organization's leadership and dedicated volunteers. However, the design, permitting, and approval process is complex and can be confusing.

Because the process is so complex, it is sometimes hard to know where to start.

In order to resolve the confusion, G&M has created a Design and Development Process containing eight phases.

• Phase 2 - Initial "Go"-"No Go" Decision
• Phase 3 - Preliminary Design
• Phase 4 - Land Use (Entitlement) Approval
• Phase 5 - Final "Go"-"No Go" Decision
• Phase 6 - Construction Documents
• Phase 7 - Building Permits
• Phase 8 - Construction Administration

G&M believes that in order to be good stewards of your money, you must first start with determining your budget to help you understand just how much of the project you can afford to build.
