Sutter Medical Center, Castro Valley, CA

G&M is the prime Civil Engineering firm for this 20-acre, 230,000 sf, $320+M, hospital relocation and an 80,000 sf, $50+M, medical office building. Due to the age of the existing facilities (50+ years), there was a lack of current information on the existing site layout and underground utilities. G&M provided a detailed topographic survey using a combination of aerial photography, GPS and conventional surveying techniques in order to determine the exact location of the existing utilities. G&M is involved in the preparation of the site construction budgets and construction schedules, project programming and in the EIR process. This project also required the preparation of a very complex storm water control plan for the site.
